A tribute to the first algorithm intended to be executed by a machine and written by this incredible woman: Ada, countess of Lovelace (1815 - 1852). We decided to create an elegant lamp with a special, vibrant and colorful appearance, in honor of this woman and her story.
The world's first algorithm was written by a woman: Ada Lovelace (1815 – 1852). She was an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's early mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine.
Her notes on the engine include what is recognised as the first algorithm intended to be carried out by a machine. As a result, she is often regarded as the first computer programmer.
LBDL fell in love with her story and decided to create a lamp in her honor. This elegant lamp features a special, vibrant and colorful appearance that pays tribute to Ada's pioneering spirit and her contribution to the foundation of modern computing.
The Lady Ada lamp stands as a luminous tribute to a woman whose vision transcended her time, bridging the gap between 19th century mathematics and the digital age we inhabit today.
